Updates and changes to services resulting from Coronavirus

Home » Coronavirus

Linking Communities Network is committed to continuing to deliver services during the Coronavirus pandemic. However, the health of our staff, our clients and the wider community is of paramount importance and we have responded by making some changes to the way we provide our services.

Our actions are guided by official communications issued by the Federal and State governments, and we review this information daily and respond accordingly.

We are focused on reducing the impact on our staff and clients and ask you to work with us to achieve this.

We will continue to provide regular updates through this website and our Facebook page, so please check back regularly to stay up to date on the latest developments.

Donations of goods

Due to increased safety measures implemented due to Coronavirus, unfortunately we cannot accept any donations of clothing and household items until further notice.

Food donations are still gratefully accepted and very much needed at this time.

We thank the community for your understanding.

Service delivery changes

While changes required due to Coronavirus are temporary, the health of our staff and our clients is paramount. With this in mind, we have implemented the following changes to our service delivery.

  1. Client-centred service delivery will continue. However, where we cannot provide face-to-face services, phone or other modes of contact will be used.
  2. We will implement screening for our clients consistently across the organisation. If there is no screening, face-to-face services will not be provided. Our screening is based on advice of government health departments and the process may be changed at any time.
  3. If a client answers yes to any of the screening questions, they will immediately be made aware of alternative methods of service delivery.
  4. Home visits will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be denied if it is considered to be a risk to the health of our staff while the virus situation is evolving. During this time, the preferred method of contact is by phone.
  5. No clients or members of the public are to enter the staff office areas across all sites until further notice.
